We have been included on the Dow Jones Sustainability MILA Pacific Alliance Index (DJSI MILA 2022) for the third consecutive year, in recognition of our outstanding performance in terms of sustainability and responsible banking. We were also the highest ranked bank in Mexico.

In 2022, and for the second consecutive year, we were included in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook thanks to the advances we have made in our practices that are based on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria.

This was the first year we participated in this process, becoming certified as a 2022 Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ as a result of our inclusion in the Equidad MX 2022 corporate index published by Human Rights Campaign (HRC), in recognition of our policies and practices to drive LGBT+ inclusion and equality.

Euromoney magazine recognized Santander Mexico’s Private Bank as the best in the country and the best for high-net-worth individuals in Mexico. This is the fifth consecutive year that we have been presented with this award by this prestigious publication.

International Finance Magazine (IFM) recognized Santander as the Most Socially Responsible Bank in Mexico given that it is the institution that most supports higher education in the country. This award was the result of the leading role that Santander Universities plays in providing young university students with scholarships.

In 2022, Euromoney magazine ranked Banco Santander as the Best Global Bank for Financial Inclusion for the second consecutive year, in recognition of its financial empowerment programs for individuals and entrepreneurs.

Tuiio, Santander Mexico’s financial inclusion program, plays a major role in these efforts, offering microloans and effectively driving greater financial inclusion among the unbanked in Mexico.

Santander Private Banking was chosen by The Banker magazine, which is part of the Financial Times Group, as the Best Private Bank in Mexico for the third consecutive year, in recognition of the advantages of the specialized consultancy model and unique value proposition that the Bank offers its customers.

Santander was included on the list of the 25 Best Companies on LinkedIn 2022 in Mexico, a ranking created by this business social network. This is the fourth consecutive year that we have been included on this prestigious list. This year, we were ranked in 6th place, making us the highest ranked bank.

The Bank won the 2022 MEF and IMEF Gender Equality Award (Women in Finance - Mexican Institute of Finance Executives) in the category of +1,000 employees, in recognition of our efforts to promote equality and a culture of inclusion within the Bank.

Getnet, Banco Santander’s payment platform, was awarded the Platinum Financial Innovation Award by Fintech Americas for rolling out a contactless payment system in Mexico City’s Metrobus routes to help drive financial inclusion and a range of payment options.

Expansión magazine published its 2022 Super Companies Ranking, in which, for the third consecutive year, we were ranked in the top 10, in the category of companies with +3,000 employees.

We were recognized by Expansión magazine as a Super Company for Women. Through our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Committee (DE&I), we promote gender equality and programs to help drive leadership among women.

For the eighteenth occasion, in 2022 we were recognized as a Socially Responsible Company by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) and the Alliance for Corporate Social Responsibility (AliaRSE).

Reforestamos México, a CSO, marked the 15th year of our partnership to promote the sustainable development of forests and communities in the country.

During 2022, we received certification for the Environmental Management System (SGA) in place at the following facilities:

• At our Corporate Offices in Santa Fe since 2004.
• At our buildings in Querétaro (CTOS, Data Center II and Contact Center) since 2018.
• At our Corporate Offices at Patio Santa Fe since 2020.

Santander Mexico topped all seven categories of the first Market Leaders Ranking published by Euromoney, surpassing all other financial institutions in the country in this comprehensive ranking that assesses aspects encompassing social commitment, business and digital solutions. The seven categories assessed in this first ranking were Corporate and Social Responsibility; Corporate Banking; Digital Solutions; Diversity and Inclusion; ESG; Investment Banking; and SME Banking.

We are committed to providing 10 million people with access to financial services between 2019 and 2025 through microfinance products, financial education programs, and other tools. One of these is Superdigital, a 100% digital platform developed using the Bank’s proprietary technology that aims to drive financial inclusion in Mexico and help people access financial products and services for the first time, in addition to cash deposits and withdrawals, payments and loans.

Tuiio has also served more than 311,153 customers (more than 92% of whom are women) from areas that had previously not been covered by traditional banking services.

We are part of the Great Equal Treatment Agreement as a result of the practices, policies, conferences and training sessions that are coordinated by our Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Committee (DE&I) in order to help drive a workplace culture of equality and non-discrimination.

The Querétaro State Government recognized the measures we have taken to promote labor equality and the empowerment of women within our workplaces.

In 2022, we were included on the list of Best Employers in Mexico by Forbes magazine for our practices and the measures we take to ensure dignified working conditions and salaries and an on-going potential for development within the Bank, among other aspects.

Our international transfer services were recognized by JP Morgan as the result of our high efficiency standards for clean payments and fluid electronic interactions and transactions with no need for manual intervention.

We were included on the list of the 10 Companies in Mexico that Drive Professional Success, published by El Economista newspaper, as a result of the steps we have taken to drive the development of our talent.

We were recognized as the Best Mexican Investment Bank of the Year as a result of the extraordinary work being done by Santander Corporate & Investment Banking.
